More layoffs at Phoenix Labs

The maker of Dauntless and Fae Farm, Phoenix Labs, has made yet another round of layoffs.

In a post on LinkedIn, the company wrote that it was cutting "the majority" of jobs at the studio, adding that this decision was "unfortunate but necessary". There's no word as to how many people are losing their positions at Phoenix Labs.

"Today is another difficult day at Phoenix Labs," the studio wrote.

"We have made the tough decision to part ways with the majority of the studio as part of unfortunate but necessary changes to our operations.

"We recognise and deeply appreciate the contributions of every individual impacted. Their talent, dedication, and creativity have left an indelible mark on our company and our games. To our industry peers, we encourage you to reach out to these exceptional individuals - they are some of the best in the business."

This is the fourth round of layoffs since May 2023; then Phoenix Lab laid off nine per cent of staff, before cutting 34 members of staff the following December. In May 2024, another 140 jobs were cut.
