Fallout show hits 65m viewers

The newly-released Fallout TV show has been watched by more than 65 million people to date.

That's according to Amazon – via a press release to Variety – which says that it is the second most watched series to launch on its streaming platform to date. The company added that it is the most-watched show since The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power made its debut at the end of 2022.

Amazon also said that the show was most popular with 18-to-34-year-olds. 40 per cent of the show's audience was in the United States, but the show has also proved to be popular in the UK, France and Brazil.

Variety says there's no clarification as to how this data was collected. As if often the case with streaming services, there's little transparency as to what constitutes a 'view'.

The Fallout show debuted on April 10th and has already been officially renewed for a second series.
