Lost Boys lays off 139 staff

Embracer-owned Lost Boys Interactive has cut 139 jobs.

That's according to a WARN notice filed with Wisconsin's Department of Workforce Developmentspotted by GI.biz – which shows that staff across 28 different states have been impacted by this cull.

Lost Boys announced last week on LinkedIn that it was cutting jobs, but did not specify how many members of staff were going to be impacted by the decision.

“Today is a challenging day for Lost Boys Interactive as we face the difficult decision to reduce our workforce,” the studio's CEO Shaun Nivens (pictured) said.

“We recognise the impact of this decision on our team members, who have contributed greatly to our success. Decisions involving staff reductions are never made lightly, and this action was taken only after considering all other options. We are committed to supporting them in every way we can during this transition.”

Lost Boys was acquired by Embracer in 2022.
