The entire Annapurna Interactive team has resigned

In a rather unprecedented move, all staff at Annapurna Interactive have resigned.

Bloomberg reports that this is due to a dispute with owner Megan Ellison to spin the publishing arm out into its own division. This has resulted in 'chaos' for Annapurna Interactive's development partners.

“All 25 members of the Annapurna Interactive team collectively resigned," Nathan Gary said in a statement.

“This was one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make and we did not take this action lightly.”

Ellison added: "Our top priority is continuing to support our developer and publishing partners during this transition,” Ellison said in a statement to Bloomberg News. “We’re committed to not only our existing slate of games but also expanding our presence in the interactive space as we continue to look for opportunities to take a more integrated approach to linear and interactive storytelling across film and TV, gaming, and theater."

It appears that the deal that Annapurna signed with Remedy for co-financing for Control 2 and bringing Control and Alan Wake to film and TV screens is still on as the partnership is with Annapurna.
