Bungie Creative Studios moves to PlayStation

The Creative Studios team from Destiny maker Bungie is moving under the PlayStation Studios umbrella.

That's according to the department's former creative director, Bridget O'Neill, who posted on LinkedIn that this move will form "the foundation" for Sony Interactive Entertainment's live-service business. How is that going, anyways?

"This opportunity to share our experience working on Bungie titles with other studios that are building live service games is so exciting," O'Neill wrote.

"Live service is hard and comes with a unique set of challenges, so with PlayStation and Bungie working together we will be able to give a huge jumpstart on development for new games as they enter this super competitive market."

PlayStation acquired Bungie in July 2022 for $3.67 billion. Since then the studio has been hit with layoffs and there have been reports that Sony will takeover the Destiny maker it if fails to hit financial targets.
