Resident Evil 4 Remake hits 9m sales

Horror action title Resident Evil 4 Remake has shifted over nine million copies to date.

That's according to the Capcom Dev 1 account, which reported that the game had sold this many units since its release back in March 2023. Video games biz dev manager Alex Aniel took to Twitter to point out that the Resident Evil 4 remake is "by far" the fastest-selling entry in the series to date.

They added that this means that the game sold over one million copies in the last quarter of 2024.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake launched in March 2023 and had already shifted over four million copies within its first month on sale. The game helped Capcom beat its H1 financial expectations for 2023/24.

It's the third in this latest run of Resident Evil remakes that Capcom has seen commercial success with; Resident Evil 2 has shifted over 14.5 million units, while Resident Evil 3 has sold over 9.2 million copies.
