Midnight Society is closing down

Midnight Society, the studio co-founded by streamer Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm is shutting its doors.

In a post on Twitter, the developer announced that it was closing its doors three years after it was founded. It's unclear how many members of staff are being impacted by this decision, but the studio does say that over 55 workers have contributed to its debut IP, Deadrop.

"Today, we are announcing Midnight Society will be closing its doors after three incredible years, with an amazing team of 55 developers contributing to our new IP Deadrop," Midnight Society wrote.

"We are actively seeking other game studios that would be interested in offering employment opportunities to our talented team members."

"We express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of our community members and [are] deeply sorry we were unable to reach our ultimate goal."

Midnight Society cut ties with Beahm in June 2024 when a former Twitch staffer alluded to why he was cut from the streaming platform. Shortly after, the influencer said that he had been messaging a minor prior to his ban.

Midnight Society laid off a "significant" number of employees in September of that year.
