Ballistic Moon has reportedly "effectively closed"

All developers at Ballistic Moon, the studio behind the Until Dawn remake, have been laid off.

That's according to Insider Gaming, which reports that only a handful of workers "at most" remain at the company, with none of them being in development, PR or marketing.

This follows 40 people being laid off from Ballistic Moon in September 2024, ahead of the Until Dawn remake's release the following month. In December, the company also reportedly made another wave of layoffs, with roughly another 20 staff affected.

It appears that Ballistic Moon's management has tried to secure funding and pitch new projects, but had little luck with either.

“People are sharing bugs they’ve found in the game to make the team aware but there is no one working on patch support for the game anymore,” one source told the outlet.

“The studio has effectively closed now.”
