Developer Respawn Entertainment has reportedly axed an in-development multiplayer First-peron shooter.
Insider Gaming initially reported the news, citing a LinkedIn post from an ex-production coordinator at the studio, who said that the project they had been working on had been cancelled.
“The unannounced incubation project I was a part of for the past year was canceled this week, so I am joining the group of extremely talented and kind people in the games industry searching for a new role," the now-deleted post said.
IGN has since verified that that this was the first-person shooter project that Respawn ha been working on in its incubator. Some staff have seemingly been laid off as a result of this cut though it appears that this is a small number of workers.
This project was seemingly started by staff that had been working on a Star Wars first-operosn shooter at Respawn, which was axed during 2024.
