Moon Studios is now "fully independent"

Developer Moon Studios is now back to being an independent entity.

The outfit revealed the news in its latest Wicked Inside event, where the company was sharing info about action RPG No Rest For the Wicked.

Moon says that it has secured the publishing rights for the aforementioned title from Private Division, which Take-Two sold back in November 2024. Former Annapurna staff have been brought in to handle what is left of the company's portfolio.

Meanwhile, Moon Studios founder Thomas Mahler took to Twitter to announce that the Ori series – The Blind Forest and Will of the Wisps – have collectively sold over 15 million copies to date.

"Not too shabby for a Metroidvania and a genre we were told is dead when we started to work on it," he wrote.

"So thank you to everyone who supported us so far."
