Split Fiction hits 2m sales in one week

Co-op romp Split Fiction has shifted over two million copies in its first week on sale.

Developer Hazelight announced the milestone over on BlueSky, saying that it was blown away by the game's reception.

The title launched on March 6th. The previous sales milestone was Split Fiction selling one million copies in just two days.

Split Fiction appears to be by far the fastest selling title that Hazelight has put out to date; its previous game, It Takes Two, took about three weeks to hit one million sales and three months to sell two million copies.

"Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing," Hazelight wrote on Bluesky.

"Thank you to all of our new and old fans - we love how excited you are for our game."

Back when the game hit one million copies, the studio wrote: "The love you all show for our game is overwhelming. Everyone here at Hazelight are beyond happy - and we can’t stop enjoying your amazing reactions."
