Communication app Discord is looking to go public.
That's according to Bloomberg, which reports that the is seeking to float as early as this year. As always, these plans are subject to change. Discord is being assisted by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase in its efforts go to public.
The future of Discord has been up in the air for some time now; back in 2021, a number of companies, including Microsoft, were apparently looking to buy the communication app. Later that same year, Discord was seemingly targeting a $15 billion valuation in another fundraising round.
In 2022, there were rumblings that Discord was looking to go public, but the company was seemingly going to achieve this via a direct listing rather than an initial public offering. Last year, CEO Jason Citron said that his company would "probably go public" at some point.
