More than one-and-a-half million people have played Atomfall so far.
That's according to the game's official Twitter account, which revealed the milestone just four days after the game's March 27th release date. Of that figure, one million played on Atomfall's first weekend. Rebellion says that this is its most successful launch ever.
As always, we need to point out that this is the number of people who have played the game, not the number of people who have bought the game; the title is in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service which no doubt has bolstered these figures.
The title launched on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles; in its first week on sale, Atomfall was the 15th highest-grossing title on Steam.
“We are delighted that so many players are enjoying Atomfall,” Rebellion CEO and co-founder Jason Kingsley CBE said.
“To have surpassed the one million players in such a short space of time speaks volumes for the creativity and dedication of the entire team here at Rebellion. Our size and stability mean that we can take risks to create something as different as Atomfall. Happily, that risk is paying off.
“We are a British company, and the game is a true reflection of that. Not only is it set in the lush, beautiful countryside but Atomfall also draws inspiration from so many classic British books, films and TV series,” continued Jason.
“We hope that players continue to enjoy exploring the world of Atomfall and are looking forward to future content for the game.”
