Avalanche shuts down Liverpool studio

Swedish developer Avalanche Studios has shut down its Liverpool office.

As reported by GI.biz, the company has posted on its website saying that the consultation process that kicked off in September has now been closed off.

"The exceptional talent, passion, and commitment from everyone leaving have impacted every project," it said. "We are truly grateful for the dedication and invaluable contributions to Avalanche Studios Group."

"Our focus remains on supporting the [staff] through this transition and to carry on making great games for our player communities."

Avalanche opened its Liverpool studio in 2020.
